My mom finds the term "ass mass" crass and offensive and wishes I hadn't written about it. My defense included the reasoning: "I didn't make it up--people talk about the ass mass all the time!" To which my dad responded, "Well you didn't make up 'Fuck You' either, did you?!" This got a good laugh from all and made a good point.

This post continuing to stir up some controversy. My dad is into it as a news story and has been promoting it on one of his blogs, http://spirit-breathing.blogspot.com/. This is generating more traffic and attention to the topic, which does not make my mom happy. She is concerned about declining civility and increasing crassness in our society. I respect her point. And respectfullyl disagree. My concern at this minute is that someone might be uncivil and steal this as a story idea when I'm not done exploiting it yet. Stay tuned.
